 1. How does your product use or challenge conventions AND how does it represent social groups or issues?   Higher, wealthier organizations typically use more equipment and have a larger budget for their filming projects. Only a phone, a tripod, and a free editing app were available to us. We were able to refute the idea that producing high-quality work necessitates spending a lot of money and using expensive equipment. This illustrates the social problem that high costs are necessary to get high-quality results. By merely using what we had at home for our music video, we defied expectations. Instead than going out and buying equipment like cameras and props, We simply made purchases to enter the fair, eat, and participate in the games. We produced our video as a group using the limited equipment. While larger production companies are given larger budgets. Us as students relied on limited outside help and made due with what we had to make our music video. The main social group shown in

After all the problems we have had with filming and making this video we are finally finished. After all the things that have happened I hope you enjoy our music video.

Editing the video

Image
Good to see you all again! Finally, the editing phase has arrived. Too many excess shots were taken. So we had to determine which ones went together perfectly. The moment where Jack lost for the second time was removed first. Primarily because Brianna could hardly be seen in the video. Second, we condensed a few scenes. In several clips, there was a lot of bulk. It should only take a minute or so to see this video. The transitions followed. Sean performed several of these actions while we were filming. As an illustration, he might begin filming while facing the sky and pan down. Then it would quickly descend at the conclusion of the shot. This facilitated a smooth transition. This ensured a smooth transition. Additional transitions could then be added in CapCut. The video now appeared more professional. Then was the was  process of coloring. We sought a filter that would enhance the hues of the sky and festival games. I tried a few, but I couldn't settle on one. After that, I trie

Final Steps

After all the disasters that have happened leading up to our filming. And with the constant rescheduling due to Brianna. We have finally been able to film. There were many hiccups along the way but, the process has been fun. The project is finally starting to come together. I'm really excited to see the finished product. When filming due to Randy's absence, I became one of the main actors. Randy was now tasked with the bulk of the editing to make up for his lack of contribution in filming. Randy has started to work on the bulk of the editing while Sean helped with smaller parts. Brianna and I worked as advisers to the editing and helped make it look seamless. One problem with the video is the actual story lining up. During the editing we realized some shots don't make sense in the video. We ended up taking some shots out. Though some were left in to make sure the time requirement. Ultimately though the video is starting to connect together. All we have left to do is some m

Filming day

Today we filmed for our music video. The experience was that of unexpected circumstances. First I was picked up by Sean and his mom. During the car ride we spoke about what we were to film. We talked about the timeline of the filming and the rolls we held. Sean was to film while I was a side character in the video. Brianna and Randy were to be the main characters in the film. I was ready to be acting as a support role and help direct from behind the cameras. When we arrived Sean and I were about 30 minutes early. We asked if the others were close by and Brianna was close. Brianna then got there and we waited in line together. Sometime later we were already in and Randy finally responded. His car had broken down on the highway and wasn't going to be making it. This meant that I had to take over his role as one of the main characters. After this we just started to film. Most things went smoothly but some things had to be adjusted as the script was meant for three actors. Some scenes

New plans

Image
After Not being able to film and having to delay our filming. We have finally been able to make new plans. Brianna's father has recovered from Covid-19 and we are no longer wary of it. Also, all of us are able to make it this weekend. Many delays of our plans have occurred with other fairs closing and all but we have a plan set. This Sunday we will be filming at Santa's enchanted forest. We could not film today as Brianna had to attend a debate tournament. The time set in place is 5:00 P.M for us to meet there. We are to film for a few hours and then go home. I am to catch a ride with Sean and his family. Brianna will get driven by her parents and randy will drive himself. Before setting our plans we were to by the tickets. Some problems occurred during this process. As I don't have a credit or debit card to use for an online purchase I gave Sean cash for an online ticket. Randy then bought himself an online ticket. Brianna on the other hand did not have the money at the m

Quarantine time

Hello and welcome back to my blog! Today, I am going to tell you a problem my group faced. We specifically faced this problem when trying to film. This weekend Brianna went to a wedding. She told us she had a lot of fun. I'm happy she enjoyed herself.  But, while she had fun it led to problems. Unfortunately, her dad caught covid. She told us he most likely caught the virus at the wedding. This puts us way behind. It specifically put us behind on our schedule for filming. It out us behind because we were supposed to film this weekend. We were all supposed to go to the fair while it was still popular so we can get a lot of background actors. I'm not sure what time we'll be able to reschedule. Hopefully, it's soon. I really hope for a speedy recovery. But, Brianna suggested that we also get tested because she was around us after the wedding. So I told my mom and we got an at home covid test. I took it and then we waited for the results about 30 minutes later. The test cam

We learned that the fair is shutting soon when trying to schedule when we will shoot this weekend. Therefore, we must locate a new fair. Or, if something happens, we can completely change our location. This also obstructs our storyboard. I'm genuinely worried about how we'll resolve this. I began exploring for fairs in our neighborhood. But it's incredibly challenging. The majority of them haven't started yet, and the window for this project is quite narrow. The Christmas Fair Market is there. I seem optimistic. It might not be the fair we're searching for, though. Although I'm looking for images, none that fit the concept in my thoughts can be found. We're hoping to locate anything that works with our storyline. The photographs so far don't seem that horrible. However, they are not giving off the enthusiasm I seek. I want a fair that seems more realistic. Consider the fair in Kissing Booth as an illustration. I want everything to be bright and lit up.
